Spotify Launched in U.S.

Spotify is a music site, similar to Napster (except legal), and allows users to access millions of songs via record companies who provide them. It started in Northern Europe in 2006 and made its way over to the US about a month ago. It also lets you link your account to last.fm so you can add songs, find out what artists you listen to most, and weed out what you do and don't like in either account.

This is another great new social media site that we didn't get a chance to discuss in class. Let's see whether it is able to succeed in the US.

I believe that Spotify will be very successful in the US. Spotify has a lot to offer to its users. Here are a few reasons why I enjoy using this particular social media site:
1) Spotify automatically sends all recently played songs to a Play Queue for later listening
2) Users can access their entire iTunes library through Spotify
3) If you find a song you enjoy you can then hear more songs from the album
4) Spotify offers a "What's New" tab where users can listen to top hits and the new songs/albums
