Tidbits
New Orleans Tidbits is a social media site similar to Living Social, except everyone can get rewards anytime. Tidbits is unique to each city that it has a presence in. I get weekly emails about events and special sales in New Orleans. Some sales are only available by using Tidbits, but other posts are just information about stores' events and sales. Tidbits sends out 2 emails a week. One is about the social events around the city that week, called "Social Diary" and the other is about different sales going on around town. The emails have clever little "tidbits" about local companies and really appreciate each city's culture. Tidbits has something for everyone (well, mostly just girls). And if you recruit more followers, you get more deals. Tidbits also has a Kidbits for one of its cities, Austin. Tidbits is only in 11 cities throughout the US, but I'm sure it's trying to extend its services.

This is interesting. I think one of the reasons Groupon is popular is that people simply like suggestions for things to do in their city. This site seems to offer that without having the extreme discount that might hurt Groupon in the long run.
